New Wiki

What do you think of the new "how people learn" wiki?
The wiki was great, expecially the video. We learn how people learn, we know how people learn and at that time, we learn a lot through the video.

What helps you learn?
May be the video attract me more then writing. I will take inisiative to watch the video till the end, compared with wording. I will leave it if the passage was too long and beyond my understanding. Video is different because I can watch every movement, voice, sometimes may be got text..it really fun.

What gets in the way of your learning?
My curiousity, I love to discover expecially something which is related to my field or my interest. Honestly, DL not really in my field, that's why I always have my way back to Sabah during Lesson. Sorry, Dr.Tee..just from my heart. My characteristic was a bit funny because I love to discover stuff but not all the stuff I prefer to discover, I am sporting but not all the sport I like to play and join, sometimes I am quite but I am not really isolated myself from others....Hm, May be my family background brought me to this kind of characteristic.

    With regards to you not liking 'words', how would you design the activity differently?

    As for your lack of interest in D.E., I have tried to design the course to cover varying interests. What would you recommend to make this course more engaging for students who are doing this course because they have no other choices?

  2. In my secondary 3 student, my lesson mainly focusing on the exam question. But certain time, I will come out with a different kind of games or student on the spot presentation. Most of my student are logical mathematic and musical, but the problem is they have to do and finish a lot of homework for them to excel in their exam. For me, I cant give them interactive teaching all the while, but will select some of the day for them to have fun. For example, I used to give them a story( karangan bentuk cerita), even they dont like it, but the way they need to present their material was to draw a series of story in cartoon. I found our that they like it very much. Actually depend on the need of the learner, and some of my class love to do work rather to have fun because most of them want to score a excellent result, that's why drawing a cartoon is wasting time for them. Just to the teacher to design their lesson based on the learner need.

    For DE program, I hope to have more hand's on during the class which meant we need to explore to what it DE do nowadays. But for our class, mainly for presentation and discussion. Even we have wiki, blog so and so, but our course is DE, so it might be interesting to make us really explore to the real world experience rather sit down and give a lot of comment, reflection and presentation. We are not really understand how a DE learner learn from the actual perspective compare with what we are doing virtually right now. Dr Tee, sorry for such comment because I really love to experience the real world compared with the virtual one. Like last semester, student bought by their lecturer to experience the DE program at OUM, I found it very good and the learner really explore to it.
